Have you been affected by the riots?

Not at all. No one is quite sure what happened, but London seems to be back to its old self again.

Do I really have to share a bathroom?

Sharing a bathroom is optional when booking on our lowest rate.

Is the area very noisy?

There is currently building work taking place at the hotel next door.

What is the normal check-in/check-out time?

Please check-in after 2pm. If you are going to be checking-in late, please try to let us know.
Check out is 12pm. You can leave your luggage with us.

Do you still do afternoon teas?

Sadly not any more. Since Spud moved to Rye, its proved to be quite difficult to source the cakes. We are trying to persuade him to come out of retirement.

Send an email to diamonds@roughluxe.co.uk with the word "Subscribe" in the subject field and we will add you to our mailing list.

Is breakfast included in the price?

Continental breakfast is included in the rate. We serve locally made and grown produce - as much as you can eat. Breakfast normally starts at 7.30am and finishes around lunchtime.

Is there wheelchair access to the hotel?

Sorry no. The building is listed [government protected and preserved], so it was impossible to incorporate elevators or wheelchair access. The staircase is steep and doors are narrow.

Can I bring my pet?

Of course, but we normally ask this to be done by prior arrangenment, in case we are very busy. We do expect your pet to behave though and please never leave your pet in the room on its own.
