We all had a brilliant time at Jempson's Boot Fair today and collected £188.96 which is terrific, thank you to all who donated so generously (and Simon who did all the collecting). We even had sunshine, and to round the day off Stephen Jempson presented John Izod with a special 80th birthday cake (complete with 3D figure of the birthday boy himself - thanks to Julie, Jempson's cake designer, she even caught John's facial expression!). But no, we couldn't fit 80 candles on it.
