When Rye & District Community Transport began operating in 1994 its first work was taking people to Age Concern Day Centres in Rye and Northiam - we still do it today!
And we take lots of local clubs and groups on trips and outings to all sorts of places and events - gardens, fetes and shows, historic buildings etc.
As well as providing home-to-school transport for children from this area attending Homewood School at Tenterden, we take groups from all the local primary schools on outings and activities and to inter-school events such as the football, cricket, rugby and athletics tournaments and to carol and leavers Church services.
Get out and about on evenings and weekends.
We take groups to theatres, dances, shows, gigs, talks & meetings, cinemas, concerts, parties and of course weddings.

We also operate the 326 service for East Sussex County Council. See the timetable link at the top of the page and don't forget to use your National Bus Pass!

Rye & District Community Transport helps fill the gaps in transport provision in our area. We cover 80% of our costs through the fares and contracts paid for our services and try to find the remainder through fundraising activities, donations and grants.
Local artist John Izod produced the route guide, shown on the right, which illustrates all our services. You can download and print your own PDF copy by clicking on the picture.

If you would like to help us, or become one of our volunteer drivers, please contact us on the number shown at the top of this page.
